About the Speakers

Brian Gattoni, Chief Technology Officer, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)

Brian R. Gattoni is Chief Technology Officer for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where he is responsible for the technical vision and strategic alignment of CISA data and mission services to manage risk to federal networks and critical infrastructure. CISA serves as the Nation's risk advisor, working with partners to defend against today’s threats and collaborating to build more secure and resilient infrastructure for the future.

Previously, Gattoni was the Chief of Mission Engineering and Technology, responsible for developing innovative analytic techniques and new approaches to technology insertion to increase the value of DHS cyber mission capabilities. In 2015, Gattoni was named DHS Systems Engineer of the Year.

Prior to joining DHS in 2010, Gattoni served in various positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency and the United States Army Test and Evaluation Command.

Gattoni holds a Master of Science in cyber systems and operations planning from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Kevin Bingham, Technical Lead for Zero Trust, National Security Agency (NSA)

Kevin Bingham is the Zero Trust Technical Lead supporting NSA Cybersecurity Directorate efforts focused on Critical Networks and Systems to include National Security Systems (NSS) and the Department of Defense (DoD). The Goal of the NSA's Zero Trust effort is to develop integrated cybersecurity capabilities that enable the DoD and the NSS communities to better protect and defend classified and critical IT infrastructure from adversaries, cyber criminals, and malicious insiders.

Previously, Mr. Bingham spent three years as the Technical Director for IA Strategy and Standards within the NSA Capabilities Directorate, focused on threat-driven, effective and scalable cyber defense capabilities for the DoD and the Federal Government.

A dedicated cyber defender, Mr. Bingham has spent 20 years focused on the defensive mission; his additional roles include Technical Director of the NSA Mitigation Group, Chief of the Global Mitigations Office within the Fusion, Analysis and Mitigations Deputy Directorate, and as the Computer Network Defense Architect for the DoD CIO supporting Computer Network Defense strategy and cybersecurity architectural efforts. He also spent six formative years with the NSA Red Team, serving in positions as an on-net Operator, Wireless LAN vulnerabilities Team Lead, Assessment Team Lead and Operations Branch Chief.  

Military time included ten years in the Air Force as a C-130 Navigator in the Pacific and as an Instructor at the Air Force Undergraduate Navigator Training School at Randolph AFB Texas. He holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.

Eric Mill, Senior Advisor to the Administrator in the Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer, Office of Management and Budget (OMB)

Eric Mill is Senior Advisor to the Federal CIO for technology and cybersecurity. In 2019, Eric served on the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration’s Democratic staff as a senior technology advisor on election security, and before that with the U.S. General Services Administration, where Eric led various government-wide technology policy initiatives and oversaw the development of Login.gov. Before joining government, Eric worked for the non-profit Sunlight Foundation as a software engineer and expert on government transparency.
