CISA hosts and participates in technology demonstrations and events throughout the year to engage stakeholders, seek research partners and communicate with the public about new technologies and research initiatives to help security officials protect the homeland.

RSA 2020, Feb 24-28

CISA will participate in the RSA Conference and Expo in San Francisco, California, February 24-28, 2020, Booth #643. RSA is the largest industry cybersecurity forum in the U.S., attracting more than 45,000 information security professionals from across the country. This conference will offer comprehensive, cutting-edge educational sessions presented by leading industry speakers including CISA staff. Topics covered at this event will include ransomware and election security among others echoing the core mission and vision of CISA regarding cybersecurity.  Stay tuned for more details.

SXSW, March 13-22

At South by Southwest, Mar. 13-22, Austin, Texas, CISA will be present along with the more than 30,000 other attendees to SXSW Interactive.  The SXSW Conference provides an opportunity for global professionals at every level to participate, learn, and network. Featuring a variety of tracks that allow attendees to explore what’s next in the worlds of entertainment, culture, and technology. 

  • Panel by Director Krebs March 17th 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - 5G Technology: Unique Challenges & Opportunities - Fifth Generation, or 5G technology promises faster speed and greater reliability, enabling innovation, efficiency, and economic growth. The increase in innovation capable with 5G technologies raises the potential for infrastructure devices to be engineered for remote access, allowing adversaries to collect vast amounts of data, effect mass disruption, or worse. Given the scope, the stakes for safeguarding these vital networks could not be higher.  The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is leading the national effort to promote a risk-based security framework for all elements of 5G networks. By focusing on three aspects: trusted hardware and software, trusted networks, and trusted operations, we will discuss how security by design is vital to the deployment of 5G.

ISC West, March 17-20

CISA and the DHS Science & Technology Directorate are participating in the ISC West 2020 conference, the largest U.S. security industry trade show in the U.S.  Over 30,000 security professionals are expected to attend this event in Las Vegas to discuss comprehensive security for a safer, connected world.  To learn more, come visit us at Booth #33040. 

IWCE, March 30-April 3

CISA will take part in the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 30-April 03, 2020.

CISA is honored to be part of several speaking sessions at IWCE 2020. Topics will range from Big Data, Encryption Protocols, Public Safety on 5G, and many more emergency communications topics with our public safety partners.

CISA is partnering with the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) at the IWCE Exhibit Hall in Booth #1347.

This expo attracts more than 6,500 professionals in communications technology from around the world with one goal in mind: to connect the Critical Communications ecosystem through education, networking, and insights to create a safer, more efficient, and more interconnected world.
