Container Model Suite of Tools (CMST)
Description
Developer/Partners: USACE IWR (2012)
Relevant Hazard/Threat(s): N/A
Intent: A suite of desktop programs developed to work together to access and preprocess data needed to complete channel deepening projects.
The six tools include: 1) HarborSym (planning level tool used to facilitate economic analyses of proposed navigation improvement projects); 2) IWR Tide Pool (simple access to information on astronomical tides at tidal stations around the world; 3)A-DAPP (provides the capability to visualize, analyze, and synthesize historical AIS data for use in container port channel improvement studies and associated model simulations); 4) W-DAPP (Waterborne Data Analyzer and Pre-processor; provides planners with direct access to Waterborne Commerce Statistics Center data for a particular port; 5) Loading Tools (support generation of consistent vessel call lists for use by HarborSym).
Data Parameters
Inputs: NAIS data
Outputs: Various simulations depending on the analyses being conducted
