DoD Regionalized Sea Level Change & Extreme Water Level Scenario
Description
Developer/Partners: DoD SERDP-ESTCP (2016)
Relevant Hazard/Threat(s): Sea-level Rise
Intent: Database of site-specific SLR and extreme water level scenarios to support screening level vulnerability and impact assessment for DoD coast sites and to inform decisions that are robust to a range of possible future conditions.
Adjusts five global seal-level rise scenarios based on local vertical land movement, dynamical sea level, and ice melt to refine for specific sites. Extreme still water level estimates use SLR as well as tides and storm surge.
Data Parameters
Inputs: Select a site
Outputs: Regionalized sea level change scenarios, Extreme water levels, Combined levels at range of exceedance probabilities, and Trends
Caveats
Scenarios are neither deterministic or probabilistic. Note the datum uses (MHHW vs NAVD88). Improvements to the database are planned.
