Economic Framework for Coastal Community Infrastructure

Publicly Accessible

Description

Developer/Partners: Eastern Research Group, Inc. (Developed for NOAA) (2013)

Relevant Hazard/Threat(s): Coastal hazards

Intent: Enable communities to grapple with difficult questions related to sea level rise and adaptation.

This framework guides communities on how to evaluate options for adapting infrastructure to make it more resilient, reducing the effects of sea level rise (SLR) and high-water-level events such as storm surge or astronomical high tides. This is accomplished by understanding the costs and benefits to different adaptation strategies.
