Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA)
Description
Developer/Partners: NOAA with University of New Hampshire, EPA, USCG, DOI. (2019)
Relevant Hazard/Threat(s): All hazards
Intent: Designed to visualize information relevant to spill preparedness and planning; Assist in coordinating emergency response efforts and situational awareness for human and natural disasters; Support the Natural Resource Damage Assessment Process; Aid in ecological recovery and restoration efforts
ERMA is an online mapping tool that integrates both static and real-time data (e.g., ship locations, weather, and ocean currents) in a centralized, easy-to-use format for environmental responders and decision makers
Data Parameters
Inputs: Set of built-in geospatial data layers (weather and natural hazard; navigation and marine infrastructure; environmental condition and quality)
Outputs: User can upload, analyze, export, and display spatial data in GIS. Spatially displayed data (maps) that can be exported for use in geospatial analysis
