Gulf TREE (Tools for Resilience Exploration Engine)
Description
Developer/Partners: Northern Gulf of Mexico Sentinel Site Cooperative, Gulf of Mexico Alliance Resilience Team, Gulf of Mexico Climate Outreach and Resilience Community of Practice (2017)
Relevant Hazard/Threat(s): Climate hazards
Intent: Help stakeholders across the Gulf Coast confidently identify the best climate tool or model for their needs.
Through the online portal, GulfTREE provides a guided search to match users with relevant data and tools for their needs. The guided search asks questions about the reasons why a tool is necessary (e.g. ID vulnerabilities, communication, visualizing climate projections), study topic area (e.g. build environment, flooding, planning, economics), Gulf Coast state of interest (e.g. Florida, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana), level of effort (e.g. high, medium, low), cost (e.g. free to high cost). It then recommends both precise and related matches from a pool of 100+ tools and includes a fact sheet for each.
Data Parameters
