The following versions of e-Design engineering software are affected:
- e-Design: All versions prior to 1.12.2.0006
3.2 VULNERABILITY OVERVIEW
Incorrect default permissions in the affected product create a denial-of-service condition on the target machine, on which affected product is installed, after a reboot.
Incorrect default permissions in the affected product allows an attacker to install malicious software executed with SYSTEM permissions.

Michael DePlante (@izobashi) of Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative reported these vulnerabilities to CISA.
- Update to Version 1.12.2.0006 or later
- The owner of the machine should not let any other user log in until the update is applied.
- The machine owner should not leave the machine unlocked when not in use.
