3.2 VULNERABILITY OVERVIEW
3.2.1 IMPROPER RESTRICTION OF OPERATIONS WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF A MEMORY BUFFER CWE-119
The DOCMGMT.DLL contains a memory corruption vulnerability that could be triggered while parsing files in different file formats such as PAR, ASM, DFT. This could allow an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process.
CVE-2022-47967 has been assigned to this vulnerability. A CVSS v3 base score of 7.8 has been assigned. the CVSS vector string is (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)

Siemens reported this vulnerability to CISA.
Siemens has identified the following specific workarounds and mitigations users can apply to reduce risk:
- Solid Edge: Update to V2023 MP1 or later version
- Solid Edge: Do not open untrusted files in Solid Edge
