Working Group

SHARES HF Working Group

The SHAred RESources (SHARES) High Frequency (HF) Radio Program Working Group (SWG) provides the national security/emergency preparedness (NS/EP) community a forum for addressing issues affecting HF radio interoperability.

The SHARES WG is made up of the JS8 Working Group (JS8 WG), Operations Working Group (OWG), Data Working Group (DWG), HF Alerting Working Group, Deployment Working Group (DepWG), ALE Working Group, Phone Patch Working Group, Winlink Working Group (WWG), Radio Message Server System Operator (RMS SYSOP WG).

All of these working groups report their updates during the monthly SHARES Working Group (SWG) which also serves as a forum for addressing regulatory, procedural, and technical issues affecting Federal HF radio interoperability.

The SHARES WG meets on a monthly basis, typically on the last Friday of each month.

The SHARES WG also fosters interoperability of NS/EP HF radio systems through examination of regulatory, procedural, and technical issues.
