In Spring 2017, the Emergency Communications Preparedness Center (ECPC) Steering Committee approved the Roadmap to 2020 (Roadmap). The ECPC Grants Focus Group developed the Roadmap for the emergency communications community. It focuses on systems, technology, and implications of converging initiatives in the year 2020, such as FirstNet deployment, Next Generation 911 implementation, and spectrum issues. The Roadmap also outlines major steps the community should consider when investing in emergency communications.
Please share with your colleagues and other interested stakeholders in the emergency communications community. The Roadmap complements the SAFECOM Guidance on Emergency Communications Grants and is a resource for federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government leadership planning investments in all types of emergency communications.
