CISA Tribal Affairs

CISA Tribal Affairs

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) works with our partners to keep our critical infrastructure safe and resilient for all Americans. The digital and physical threats —both natural and manmade—impacting Native American and Alaska Native tribes are complex and ever increasing. CISA's resources and tools aim to assist Native American and Alaska Native tribes in strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure, including improving operable and interoperable communications, an enhanced cyber posture, consultative engagement, outreach, advocacy, technical assistance, and coordination. Tribal communities are diverse with unique cultures, histories, political viewpoints, and technical requirements. CISA’s goal is to work with tribes individually to collaborate in securing critical infrastructure. The more each of our organizations and governments do to collaborate, the more protected we all become.

Tribal Emergency Communications

CISA supports Native American and Alaska Native nations through direct engagement, outreach, advocacy, technical assistance, and inter- and intra-agency coordination to support strengthened public safety operable and interoperable communications.

CISA Services

The CISA Services webpage is an all-in-one place resource that provides users with access to information on services across all of CISA’s mission areas.

Physical Security

Defending our homeland begins with protecting our nation’s hometown security – our physical security. Providing comprehensive physical security requires expertise across a broad range of physical environments and threat types.

School Safety

In today’s environment, K-12 schools and school systems face an evolving and dynamic set of security risks and threats, ranging from acts of targeted violence to bomb threats to natural disasters.

Chemical Security

The chemical security mission is to safeguard the American people by preventing the misuse of chemicals in a terrorist attack on the homeland.

State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial Government Coordinating Council

State, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments are vital to protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the resilience of the communities they serve.
