  • Guide to Getting Started with a Cybersecurity Risk Assessment (.pdf, 441.4 KB)
    (SAFECOM/National Council of Statewide Interoperability Coordinators (NCSWIC)) This guide assists public safety communications systems operators, owners, and managers understand the steps of a cyber risk assessment. Included in the guide are customizable reference tables to help organizations identify and document personnel and resources involved with each step of the assessment.

    (SAFECOM/NCSWIC) This document highlights actionable steps that Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs)/Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) can take to enhance their cybersecurity posture.

    (CISA) CSET® provides a systematic, disciplined, and repeatable approach for evaluating an organization’s security posture. CSET is a desktop software tool that guides asset owners and operators through a step-by-step process to evaluate industrial control system (ICS) and information technology (IT) network security practices.

  • Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP)
    (CISA) ICTAP serves all 56 states and territories and provides direct support to state, local, and tribal emergency responders and government officials through the development and delivery of training, tools, and onsite assistance to advance public safety interoperable communications capabilities.
